A
very warm welcome to my courses and my home room at The American International
School.
This year will be exciting, boring, good, bad, up, down, new, old, clear,
confusing, happy, sad; and will include boys, girls, friends, great days and
the worst days of your life; pieces of a puzzle that finally fit together
and give you an "Aha" moment; as well as ideas you are sure you
will never understand.
I hope that during this time you will turn to your teachers for help, because
we are there to do more than facilitate your education. Especially in my capacity
as your homeroom teacher and course Instructor, please know, that your well-being
is my primary concern.
My goal is to create a classroom environment that will help you

gain a strong understanding of key scientific principles and concepts
· understand how science is related to other disciplines
. become a scientific literate citizen who is capable of making informed decisions
· develop thinking skills and the ability to challenge assumptions,
think creatively, and solve real-life problems
· find out about the latest technologies and use many of them to learn
more about science and our world
· build a solid science vocabulary
· effectively prepare for standardized assessments
· have fun!!
